Philip II selected Spain (21 May 1527 – 13 September 1598) was, earliest in 1556, king of Espana, and Burgundy, Netherlands, Naples, Sicilia, and Spanish America. He was born in Valladolid and was the only son of Sanctified Roman EmperorCharles V and dominion wife to live until no problem was an adult. He was strongly Catholic.
